WHAT is WEB 3.0?


Web3 (also known as Web 3.0 and sometimes stylized as web3) is an idea for a new iteration of the World Wide Web-based on blockchain technology, which incorporates concepts such as decentralization and token-based economics.

“Web3” was coined in 2014 and gained interest in 2021 from cryptocurrency enthusiasts, large technology companies Web3 is being expected to improve the protection of digital data, unauthorized users such as the cyberattack, increasing the amount of work by increasing the resources and privacy.

WHAT is WEB 1.0?

Web 1.0 is referring to the first stage of the World Wide Web’s evolution, from roughly 1991 to 2004. In Web 1.0 with the majority of users labeled as consumers of content. Most of the web pages were static similar to books this is why the users were called consumers because of the lack of interaction as a user.

A Web 2.0 website allows users to interact and collaborate with each other we have the example of the social media like, Facebook, and Instagram… where everyone can be a content creator, to share videos on platforms like Youtube, TikTok, and so on. Web 2.0 can be considered a platform. We are actually all using WEB 2.0 since 2004.

It has also brought improvements in various aspects like content controlling, content structuring, web technologies, applications, and communication.

On the other hand, the vulnerabilities and security risks associated with these enhancements are becoming major security threats. Which will set a road map towards the necessity of web 3.0.

WHAT is WEB 3.0?

The Semantic Web, sometimes known as Web 3.0, is an extension of the World Wide Web through standards. There is not an exact definition of web 3.0 but it can be referred to as the third-generation internet, in which apps and websites process data in a more human-like manner. Web 3.0 technology will transform the learning process by allowing data linking to connect learning resources and create studies concepts such as existence, being, becoming,
and reality for various fields of knowledge, allowing for “smart searches.”

Web 3.0 is supposed to break the world free of that monopolistic control.
The decentralized web, also known as Web 3.0 uses decentralized ledger technology (DLT), machine learning (ML), and Big Data.
