Inside the Galata Tower (Istanbul Turkey)
The Galata Tower or known in Turkish is the original name Galata Kulesi, it is one of the most famous places in Istanbul and also in the city. A place that is among the must-see symbols of Istanbul. Also happens to be one of the oldest towers in the world and has a rich history.
For those who have never been to the place, when you reached there, you might find a queue, I have never seen it to be too long, it is for the ticket but you can purchase your ticket online. There is an elevator inside of the tower and it has 7 floors, the elevator takes people to the 5th floor then by stairs to the last floor.
When you’ll get down you’ll have the opportunity to see different items on each floor, as the elevator is only going up.
There are beautiful traditional shops around the tower. The place has many small stores for merchandise to buy some souvenirs, it also has small food stalls. Several restaurants and hotels are nearby with all traditional food as well as continental.
Up there you will see a 360-degree view of the whole of Istanbul, including the European side.
Going to the top of it and having a view of the whole city across the massive bridges, ships passing under the bridges, mosques and the houses from the top, a perfect view to relax. A pure class of architecture.Amazing Historical Place.
The tower is in very good condition for its age.
